Rock 7: Metagranodiorite

This is a metamorphosed intrusive igneous rock called granodiorite (a granite-like rock).  Granodiorite is the intrusive equivalent of dacite (Rock #4).  This rock formed when hot magma cooled very slowly forming individual mineral grains that are visible with the naked eye.
